Archive Gallery is preserving and reviving cultural history through contemporary works of art.

Archive Gallery — Illuminated Archival Lightboard at 33 Crosby Street, NYC

Our Story

Archive Gallery is dedicated to reviving vintage archives. We work with rare, original photographic and cultural materials to create contemporary works that give historical collections new life.

Our inaugural works draw from the archive of Bob Guccione, founder of Penthouse, OMNI, Viva, and Longevity, and one of the most influential publishing figures of the 20th century. His practice spanned photography, publishing, art direction, and visual culture across five decades.

From this collection, Archive Gallery creates Illuminated Archival Lightboards™, singular objects composed from original unpublished 35mm slides, backlit and framed to transform photographic history into works of light and image.

Each piece is handmade to order in Brooklyn, New York, and shown by appointment at 33 Crosby Street. No two are alike.
