Amazing abstractions
Narrative at Archive This smart-looking group show juxtaposes an upbeat new John Scott drawing of a bunny girl with a mid-eighties photo and text piece by Barbara Astman ("I dream that you are far away dreaming of me") and a playful burning-schooner-with-synthesizer assemblage by Michael Chorney, whos just out of art school. Particularly refined are Polish artist Jaga Jarosiewiczs encaustic and plexiglas works, with multiple layers of densely obsessive handwritten text. Until April 30.
